Adding a Student ID to an existing student account in MobyMax can bring various benefits. It helps in rolling over historic student data from one academic year to another, facilitates auto-rostering by matching student accounts, and minimizes the number of duplicate student accounts if a standard Student ID format is used by your school.
If you have already registered your students without a Student ID, don't worry! MobyMax offers convenient rostering tools that allow you to effortlessly update missing or existing Student IDs.
To update the Student ID of an individual student:
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Click on the "Tools" tab at the top of the page.
- Select the “Student Roster” button.
- Click on the name of a student.
- Update the “Student ID” field with your preferred number.
- Click the “Save and Close” button.
Note: When deciding on a format for Student ID, it is crucial to guarantee its uniqueness and consistency. Although it is not necessary to adopt an official number (e.g., a lunch number), it is advisable to consult your administrator to determine if there is a preferred format. We recommend avoiding common Student IDs such as "123" or "abc." Instead, devise a distinct format that other teachers are less likely to adopt for their students.
