The MobyMax Sight Words modules are designed to help students practice and improve their fluency in recognizing sight words. Each day, students are given a set number of words to practice. To show that they have mastered a word, they need to correctly identify it on two separate days within the designated fluency time. If they get the word right on their first attempt, they receive a 50% score. If they get it right again on the next day, their score increases to 100%, indicating that they have learned the word. However, if they get the word wrong on their first try, their score drops to 0%, and they will need to continue practicing the word for another two days.
When students first start using the modules there are many words to practice. However, as they approach the end of the words for their grade level, the list of words being practiced will become shorter. Eventually, the session will end once students have completed practicing all of the words assigned for that day.
After students have successfully attained a 100% score on all the words in their current grade level, they will progress to the next grade level automatically. When they begin the new grade level, they will encounter more words that they need to learn, and they will have the full assigned time to practice those words.
