Auto-fill is a convenient browser feature that simplifies the process of filling out forms online by automatically providing pre-populated suggestions for common fields such as name, address, and email. This saves users significant time and effort, especially when filling out multiple forms or registering for various online services.

Disable Autofill in Chrome on Windows/Mac/Chromebook

  1. Click the Chrome menu (three dots) on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click on "Autofill".
  4. Select the "Payment methods" option.
  5. Turn off the switch next to "Save and fill payment methods".
  6. Click on "Autofill" again.
  7. Click on "Addresses and more".
  8. Turn off the switch next to "Save and fill addresses".


Next, you will want to clear the Autofill data in Chrome:

  1. Select the Chrome menu icon. (Three dots at the top right of the screen.)
  2. Click on History, then click on History again in the menu that appears.
  3. Select Clear browsing data. (Alternatively, you can press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL on your keyboard to bypass steps 1-3.)
  4. Click the "Advanced" tab at the top.
  5. Choose the “All Time” option to clear all saved data.
  6. Make sure that the “Autofill Form Data” option is checked.
  7. Click "Clear Data."


Disable Autofill in Chrome on iOS

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, tap the More menu (three dotted lines in the lower-right corner) while in Chrome.
  2. Tap the "Settings" icon.
  3. Tap Payment methods or Addresses and more.
    • To stop saving payment info, turn off Save and fill payment methods.
    • To stop saving addresses and contact info, turn off Save and fill addresses.


Disable Autofill in Chrome on Android

  1. On your phone or tablet, tap the More menu (three dotted lines to the right of the address bar) while in Chrome.
  2. Tap "Autofill and payments".
  3. Tap Payment methods or Addresses and more.
    • To stop saving payment info, turn off Save and Fill payment methods.
    • To stop saving addresses and contact info, turn off Save and Fill addresses.


Disable Autofill in Firefox on Windows/Mac/Chromebook

  1. Select the Firefox menu icon. (Three lines at the top right of the screen.)
  2. Click on "Settings."
  3. Choose "Privacy & Security."
  4. In the "Forms and Autofill" section uncheck the options for which you wish to disable Autofill. The system will automatically save your settings.


Next, you will want to clear the Autofill data in Firefox:

  1. Select the Firefox menu icon. (Three lines at the top right of the screen.)
  2. Click on "Settings."
  3. Choose "Privacy & Security."
  4. In the "History" section, click on the "Clear History" button.
  5. (Alternatively, you can press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL on your keyboard to bypass steps 1-3.)
  6. In the "Time Range to Clear" dropdown menu, choose “Everything.”
  7. Make sure “Form & Search History” is checked.
  8. Click "OK" to clear the Autofill data.


Disable Autofill in Edge on Windows

  1. Select the "Settings and More" icon. (Three dots at the top right of the screen.)
  2. Click on "Settings."
  3. The menu should default to "Profiles." If not, select this option from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
  4. In the "Your Profile" section, click on each of the following and be sure the option is toggled off:
  5. Passwords
  6. Payment info
  7. The system should automatically save your settings.


Next, you will want to clear the Autofill data in Edge:

  1. Select the "Settings and More" icon. (Three dots at the top right of the screen.)
  2. Click on "Settings."
  3. Select the "Privacy, Search, and Services" option.
  4. In the "Clear Browsing Data" section, click "Choose What to Clear."
  5. For the "Time Range", choose ALL TIME.
  6. Be sure "Autofill Form Data (Includes Forms and Cards)" is checked. If you wish to clear "Passwords", be sure to check that option as well.
  7. Click "Clear Now."


Disable Autofill in Safari on Mac

  1. Click on the Safari menu. (The word Safari at the top of the screen.)
  2. Select the "Settings" option.
  3. Click on the "AutoFill" tab.
  4. Uncheck “User names and passwords." If you wish to prevent Safari from saving any other AutoFill web information, be sure to uncheck those options as well.
  5. The system should automatically save your settings.


Next, you will want to clear the Autofill data in Safari:

  1. Click on the Safari menu. (The word Safari at the top of the screen.)
  2. Select the "Settings" option.
  3. Click on the "AutoFill" tab.
  4. Next to “User Names and Passwords” click "Edit."
  5. Click "Remove All" to clear all saved usernames/passwords.
  6. If you only need to clear logins for iClassPro, select any "iClassPro.com" entries and click "Remove."
  7. Select "Done" when you are finished.
