MobyMax makes it simple for teachers to unassign skills from their students! Whether you accidentally assign a skill or want to remove it from the sequence of your students, MobyMax offers an easy solution. While you can unassign skills for individual students, this task can be completed in bulk for all students, eliminating the need to remove skills one by one. The bulk unassign option is available when you need to remove a skill quickly for everyone.

To unassign a skill in Language from individual students:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the "Curriculum" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click on the “Language" button.
  4. Select the "Assign" tab at the top of the page.
  5. Click "Manage Assignments" located on the left sidebar under the "Manage" heading.
  6. Choose the "Students" link located directly below the page header.
  7. Click on the name of a student.
  8. Select the empty box to the left of the assignment you want to delete.
  9. Click the "Delete" button.
  10. Select "Delete" again at the prompt to confirm.


To unassign a skill for all students in Language:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Click the "Curriculum" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Select the “Language" button.
  4. Click “Assign” at the top of the menu.
  5. Click "Manage Assignments" located on the left sidebar under the "Manage" heading.
  6. Select the radio button to the left of the assignment.
  7. Click “Delete” to remove the skill.  


Note: If a student has completed the skill, or started the skill, they will lose their progress.

  3. Click on the “Language" button.
  4. Select the "Lessons" tab at the top of the page. 
  5. Click on the “Assignments” sub-tab.
  6. Select the "Students" sub-tab.
  7. Click on the name of a student.
  8. Select the trashcan icon located on the left side of the skill name


The skill will now be unassigned from your student. If a student has either completed the skill or started the assignment, they will lose their progress. 

To unassign a skill for all students in Language:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Click the "ELA" link in the left sidebar under the "Subjects" header.
  3. Select the “Language” button.
  4. Click the "Lessons" tab and select the “Assignments” tab.
  5. Select the trashcan icon to the left of the assignment name.
  6. Click "OK" at the prompt.


The skill will now be deleted for all students to who it had been assigned.
